Tattoo by @gerikramertattoosAs someone born deep in the month of October (🏻) I feel a special connection with scorpions. They’re my star sign!!! How could I not?!?! 🦂 When I was 13 years old I was gifted a scorpion paperweight from a relative in Arizona. It is essentially of lump of epoxy with a dead arachnid inside, but I loved it and I kept it. Oh, how I kept it.That lump of epoxy has made every move I did, has seen every relationship - spent every minute of its existence in my possession.And I still have it! It sits on a display shelf in my bedroom, watching over me while I sleep.So while I’m terribly afraid of spiders - to the point of paralysis when I see them unexpectedly - not my sweet baby epoxy scorp. I love that little guy with my whole heart.Making this tattoo had us connecting over our shared love of our paperweights (yes - they had one also!!) and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This predrawn design from my up-for-grabs highlight found exactly the right person, and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it. ️***********My books will be reopening mid July.
