Wow, I can’t believe we left that post about me getting my period up for an entire week. Sorry to all the men out there. Yikes.
Today I wanted to talk to you guys about something important: music.
Listening to music is what we do best…er…well I mean after the whole tattooing thing. You know what I mean.
Here at the shop we listen to pretty much everything. Except Pink Floyd. Oh, and nobody except Chris and I likes Tom Waits either for some reason, so he’s out. As well as pretty much anything else that can be found on my iPod…
Okay what I’m trying to say is that contrary to the tattoo shop stereotype, we don’t only listen to metal, punk, or more metal day in and day out. Sure, that’s a pretty huge portion of what we listen to, but on a good day you can also hear rap songs, blues, oldies, pop … of course there’s always one person in the shop who hates whatever song is playing, but usually they’re outnumbered and the track plays on. Let’s call it a general agreement to disagree. We all just kind of put our favorite music onto the playlist and everything works out just fine.
That is, until a song by Mr.T started playing the other day.
What. The. Hell?
Seriously? Mr. T?
Seriously? I didn’t even know he made music. Where did this even come from? (Gerry, I’m looking at you.) Yeah. So between this and MC Hammer, we’re all set for terrible throwback bands.
But here’s the thing, guys. I found myself excited that there was finally something new on the playlist, even if it was Mr.T. I may have even caught myself dancing to it a little bit.
We are in dire need of some new tunes. I am sick of everything!
Does anybody have any suggestions for any fantastic music that you think should be on our playlist at the shop? Leave a comment and let us know what we should be listening to!
