I have always heard that it is tougher for women to get a tattoo during … uhm … their time of the month. It makes sense, right? You’re grouchy, everything aches, you’re all whiny and just straight up uncomfortable … now add that scratchy-hot tattoo feeling into the mix. Not fun.
Well, unfortunately, the other day I found out that yeah, it’s true. At least in my case it is.
I was getting my upper leg tattoo finished, and let’s just say that even after a snack break, two water breaks and a midol break (over a four hour span), I still wasn’t handling the pain very well. And I’m no tough guy to begin with, so yeah. It wasn’t pretty.
So ladies, do yourself a favor and schedule your tattoo appointment around your … schedule. Trust me.
